The 2-seater model has been tested by the EPA and is rated at 41MPG on the highway and 33MPG city (36MPG combined). Note that in Europe it gets 60MPG highway, but that is without US-required smog equipment. The base price for the entry 'fortwo pure' is $11,590, with the coupe at $13,000-$16,000 and the convertible at $16,590-$17,000. Currently there is a waiting queue for most all car orders.
